L’dor v’dor: From Generation to Generation

Original artwork for an invitation. I painted this in watercolor on parchment in three stages, using the different stages for different elements of the invitation.

This event’s theme was “L’dor v’dor,” “From generation to generation.” I created the artwork both digitally and manually, starting with a watercolor. The materials included an invitation, ad book, event signage, and the actual painting, which was gifted to the gala’s honoree. Download the full invitation here. The other materials are below.

#CelebrateChildhood

One of the best way to advertise your product–in this case, a play-based preschool education–is to crowd source with social media. The Facebook contest we held asked our parents to use one of these #CelebrateChildhood tiles in a Facebook post about the school, and we offered a Starbucks gift card to the person whose post earned the most likes. The flyer below explains the contest rules.

#Don’tCompromise

It’s easy to re-post a visual like this on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media websites. And that’s the idea: get other people to do your work for you by making a graphic that’s attractive and compelling enough that others will share it with their friends. Guess what? You’ve just gone viral.

Congratulations!
